1. Introduction
PulsePick ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the PulsePick web app, desktop app, or mobile app (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
When you use PulsePick, we collect:
- Account information: name, email address, and profile photo from your authentication provider (Google, X) via Clerk.
- Team and feedback data: teams you create or join, requests you send, votes you cast, and any comments or images you upload.
- Device tokens: push notification tokens so we can deliver notifications.
- Usage data: basic logs of API requests for security and debugging.
- Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To deliver feedback requests and notifications to you and your team.
- To process subscriptions and payments via Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (invites, account-related notices) via Resend.
- To improve the Service and prevent abuse.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, all under their own privacy policies:
- Clerk — authentication and identity management
- Google Cloud — database, file storage, and infrastructure
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery
- Netlify — web hosting
We may also disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
By default, feedback requests are auto-closed after 3 days and deleted based on your plan's retention period (Free: 30 days; Pro and Business: indefinitely or until you delete them). When data is deleted from the database, associated uploaded files are also removed from our cloud storage.
6. Your Rights
You can request, modify, or delete your data at any time:
- Delete individual feedback requests from the request detail page.
- Delete a team you own from the team settings page.
- Delete your entire account from your account settings — this removes all your data.

7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), authenticated API access, isolated team data, and signed file URLs. While we work hard to protect your information, no system is 100% secure.
8. International Users
PulsePick is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your data being processed in the U.S.
9. Children
PulsePick is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
